With my freelance company Solaris Dezine I mainly focus on designing and developing modern and user friendly websites, often using a Content Management System called Joomla.
A Brief History
After building my first 3 websites (thanks to programming information in Google) in the year 2000, I applied and started working as a webdesigner & multimedia specialist for a graphic design firm in The Hague / The Netherlands. After 4 intense years of work & study at 'So Creatief', I quit my job, even though I was offered to become director of the web design & multimedia department, and started working for my own (freelance) company, Solaris Dezine.
15 years have past and many technologies have changed, but I'm still excited to start new website projects and to keep myself updated with the new developements and possibilities; such as making websites responsive (a different layout and menusystem for mobile phones & tablets).
You may notice in my current portfolio that many of my website projects are for artists & designers, this is because of my large network of creative friends & relations, but for your information, I am open to any type of client, with any kind of product or service.
Content Management System & Updates
To help keep total costs low, I would like to mention that these days I usually build websites with a Content Management System (CMS) called 'Joomla'. With Joomla, my clients can log-in to the back-end of their website from any computer / tablet / smartphone, and swiftly update the content of their website. In some cases where my clients don't have the time or interest, I may do these updates for them.
